Elie Saab, a Lebanese fashion designer was born in 1964 in Lebanon. At the young age of 9, he grew interest in dressmaking. In 1982, he opened his couture atelier in Beirut. He was just 18 years old at that time. Soon his collections became popular in Beirut and high society fashion loving women from across the world also wanted an Elie Saab creation. In 2003, he was invited by the Chambre Syndicale De La Haute Couture to present his collections. He showcased 4 collections in a year which included ready-to-wear and haute couture. In 2006, he became a member of the board. The next year, in 2007, he opened a flagship store in Le Triangle D’Or. A mix of eastern and western culture is what can be seen in his creations. Delicate embroideries, fine materials, simple and beautiful designs focus on femininity and his dresses highlight a woman’s profile perfectly.
