By Modalist Editor
The Spring trends are here for us to follow as we get ready to welcome the season. As we get ready to bid adieu to winters, get ready to embrace new fashion trends. This spring, stripes, shades of blue, one-shoulder pieces and many other trends are going to rock. Floral prints are as usual the top most fashion trend for spring. New and old trends from 2016 like off-shoulders will also be seen this spring. The NYFW Spring 2017 had seen some brands like Ralph Lauren, Rebecca Minkoff and others experimenting with the ‘see now, buy now’ option, while others had chosen the normal way by introducing their trendy pieces six months prior to store sales. Check out five of the top trends of the New York Fashion Week 2017.
Florals Dominating the Trends
Spring is dominated by floral prints. This year is no different and we can see florals trending. From ruffled dresses to asymmetrical skirts to stylish jumpsuits, florals are dominating the runways. With garden parties a common occurrence during Spring and Summer, floral fashion is at it's peak.
Ruffles- A Major Fashion Hit
A lot of ruffles is coming this spring. From one-shoulder tops to feminine dresses to flouncy skirts, ruffles are everywhere. In the coming months, you can get your hands on these designer pieces and choose from checks, varied colors or even go for black and white combination.
Go Big with Stripes
Another trend of the upcoming season, stripes were a common sight on the runways. From striped outfits in vibrant colors to ones having stripes with black and other primary colors, the collection was huge.
Blue was a dominant color for the New York Fashion Week shows held for Spring 2017. From pale blues to dark midnight blues, you could see pieces in different shades of blue on the runways. If you do not want to go for bold colors like orange, yet want something different than basic black or white, blue is the perfect choice for you.
Khaki is In
Khaki is no longer restricted to uniforms. This color has come a long way from being ‘boring.’ It is now making trends and that was true for the NYFW as well. Dresses, tailored trousers, jackets, shorts and more are popular in this neutral shade.
