The New York Fashion Week kicked off with a winter storm, prompting fashion week attendees to layer up in their best winter wear. While on the runways, it was about seasonal fashion trends, off the runways, it was winter style everywhere. From fur coats to puffer jackets, street style was at it's best in the snowy and chilly streets of New York. Layering in style was mainly the fashion mantra of people attending the fashion week. Fur coats/jackets in different sizes were visible on fashionistas as they made their way to the shows braving the storm. In varied colors and styles, fur coats were trending in this year’s first fashion show.
Coats and jackets in patent leather were another staple outfit worn by many fashion attendees. From bright to neutral colors, these patent leather outerwear were enough to draw the attention of passers by. Not only outerwear, dresses, bags and boots were also a hit.
From leopard printed tops to snakeskin printed coats, animal prints were high on trend when it came to street style fashion. Fashion bloggers, editors and even celebrities were spotted wearing animal printed outfits as they took front rows in the fashion shows.
Bright colored puffer jackets were also on trend in this year’s New York Fashion Week. With umbrellas in hand and fighting the chill, these jackets turned to gloomy weather into a glam one. From navy blues to bright pinks, the color and sizes were varied.
